Michellany
A John Michell Reader
Richard Adams and Jason Goodwin have recently published Michellany, a unique selection of John's less well-known work, laced with anecdotes and revealing recollections from friends.
The volume, edited by Jonangus Mackay, includes hitherto unpublished writing. Philosophical musings jostle with poetry, bon mots, drawings, and acute social commentary, plus work published so long ago or in such obscure publications, as to be virtually forgotten. Friends share photographs, quotations and tributes.
Michellany illuminates the astonishing range of interests John pursued with such humour and passion. It encapsulates a lifetime (1933 – 2009).
An excellent compilation, beautifully produced. An essential addition to the library of anyone who knew John Michell, or was inspired by his writings. RUPERT SHELDRAKE
